A/Professor Robert Ackland and Tim Graham (University of Queensland) ran the workshop: Collecting and analysing Social media data with SocialMediaLab, at the INSNA Sunbelt International Social Network Analysis Conference, 2016.

In this workshop, participants learned how to collect various types of social media data using SocialMediaLab and to generate different types of ‘ready-made’ networks for analysis. Participants also learned basic network and text analysis using R stats packages such as igraph and tm.

The workshop was held on April 5, 2016 in Newport Beach, California.
