As part of the Expert Working Group, Rob Ackland and Francisca Borquez are actively involved in providing input to the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia (ASSA), as it develops its Decadal Plan for Social Science Research Infrastructure 2023-32. ASSA’s Discussion Paper, released earlier this year in July, features the VOSON Lab, as established research infrastructure for the social sciences with the potential for national expansion and for ‘support(ing) the analysis of a much broader range of online networked activities and behaviours’. In an effort to positioning the needs of research infrastructure for the social sciences, the VOSON Lab has submitted comments to the consultation conducted by the Department of Education, to seek feedback on a draft submission to the National Digital Research Infrastructure Strategy
