Discussing the role of Social Media in social and economic development @Quello Center

During his visit to Quello Center (Michigan State University) in early May, Dr Robert Ackland presented on social media and development at a Quello seminar.

Based on a background paper for the World Bank he co-authored with Kyosuke Tanaka, the author introduces theoretical perspectives on how social media might link to social and economic development objectives.

As part of his visit, Dr Ackland also participated at a round table discussion of digital social science. Watch the talk here.
