Understanding Indigenous Australian governance networks

The VOSON Lab (ANU School of Sociology) has teamed up with Dr Diane Smith (Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research) to explore new avenues to adapt traditional social science methods—anthropology, ethnography, social network analysis and actor-network theory—to better elucidate the complex networked systems of Indigenous governance (as sites of shared meaning-making and construction of collective identity), operating in contemporary Australian contexts.

This interdisciplinary research is funded by the ANU RSSS inter-school grant.
