VOSON Lab featured in discussion paper of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia

The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia has recently relased its Discussion Paper: Doing social science in 2032: A discussion paper inviting input into the Academy’s Decadal Plan for Social Science Research Infrastructure 2023–32. The publication features the VOSON Lab along with MelNet (University of Melbourne) as established research infrastructure for the social sciences with the potential for expansion. Both research groups help researchers to study online and social networks, through the provision of tools to collect, curate and analise social network data. The publication highlights the potential of these tools and methods to be adopted more broadly by social science disciplines, at a national level.

Prof Rob Ackland has since joined the Decadal Plan Working Group, to collaboratively draft the plan.
